Need advice

hi.i've been pouring over this site for the past few days looking for some advice and i hope there is someone here that can help a guy out.

i'm desperate.....short bio: i came into the organization after high school and shortly after married a wonderful girl who was born-in.we have been happily married now for nearly 20 years and things were well until 2015 hit.

by the way, i currently serve as an elder and have the ""privilege"" of being the "watchtower overseer".. either here nor there, we were told we would never have children but late last year my wife became prego!!

The loss of a child is said to be one of the worst things that can happen to a person/couple. Especially, since you have not gotten to experience the joys just heartache. I hope things work out so you can experience the smiles, giggles, and love a little person can bring. This religion almost acts like children are a burden and disadvantage in serving God, its sick.

I don't have experience with stepping down... and we were fading before we were even awake due to circumstance. I do believe because of your wifes grief, the shallow sympathy, and complete lack of understand with your losses, you may be able to win her over about how shallow-empty this religion is.

Being a women and a mother, I don't know if I would go and tell her you don't believe right off, only you know her, but... she has serious emotions due to grief, I don't know about adding the grief of a husband who fell away.

My thinking is that this group has the 'truth' because thats what they are told and understand nothing. I was the same way...and actually stumbled on this website after googling the JW dot org ridiculousness and found a picture that linked me here. It was after reading a few posts alone, I was beyond shocked. All the feelings I had were shared-- then I read about 1914 etc... Wow.

I think the only fear is losing family and friends for this group- the end is near propaganda isn't going to work.

I am more thinking the claim the end is near. That is what this whole religion is based on-- I am on the upper end of the age range. And I never really believed it, we have so much life to live. So much media/internet-- I just think it will do more damage because its NOT coming.

I mean, we have heard this all our lives and I don't think any in these age brackets believe it. I think it will actually be a killer to the Societies plan. Yeah, old people may be excited, but the future is this age range- I think there will be a two month hype--then it will die as everyone focuses on the hear and now. Bills-work-cost of living. You know, real world living...

I like the feel of this. It seems to pretty much be anonymous for the majority. I hope we can clear this up to the people being confused saying 'don't DA' and 'beware of the repercussions'. I get the sense most want this anonymous and thus our increased frustration. I am able to send hundreds, heck, I will send it to all the local halls in my area. HA.

I feel like 8/8/16 is SO far away, I would rather do it sooner than later. Seems like a good idea now, then life happens, and many of us will have new battles. Perhaps I am the lone ranger on this one?

Also, where do we find the kingdom hall mailing addresses? In my area they are PO Boxes not the KH physical address.

I agree with Petraglyph. Sending it to the local level, I would even send to surrounding halls I am not in. It will make them paranoid and anxious, who sent them. To HQ, it will only be seen as a prank= trash bin. In my corporate job, we had PR situations we handled for, the top, telling lower management to ignore. It's much better at a local level I believe. Where there is power, but actually no power to make decisions as there is on the HQ level. Just my two cents.

The consensus seems to be an anonymous DA. We need someone who does well with the written word to gather all these ideas. I like what Sabin above said. Even if it's not a DA ...Things that are wrong, inaccurate, disgusting. We are only in for family, we don't believe, we are elders, pioneers, bethelites...I don't know, a lot of you do much better with writing.

It's terribly juvenile, but I have thought for a while it would be so funny to send DA letters in the names of local elders. Just cause mass confusion and distrust.

I think doing it anonymously is hilarious. I am in. Never would I identify myself in one. I have a hundreds of dollars in stamps,I'm willing to help however this ends up.

when the org implements its bethelite "genocide" and demotes many members of the "worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovahs witnesses" into lowly regular pioneers, many more trollies will have to be found in order for such ones to rack up their required monthly hours.. how many are actually going to be shocked by this into waking up?

The shocking part will be removal of fancy bethelite title, with insult that they weren't good enough to be kept.... On top of it... The waking up won't come until they have to get a job! The horror! A worldly boss, working for $10 an hour?! If they're lucky. Then....they will be asked and part of the collective to donate! Oh my gosh....once they get a paycheck with taxes withheld....

all their sputtering about being spiritual and putting the kingdom first, met with the reality of supporting themselves. I see more hate and anger directed at those who went to college and used their own mind to reason about the future.

I agree with safe at home.

the past year family members who are all in, pioneers and barely making it. Have been so off put, upset, and frustrated by the local assembly builds alone with such grandiose buildings, while we are told to live simple. I think the majority will say, welcome to our world.

now, enter the emotional the end is here, satan is against us, attacking us. yah that's different...
